The dream of anyone involved in housework is to clean everything quickly and effectively. One of the areas that requires special attention is the bathroom. Hygiene is the be-all and end-all here so that the bathroom fittings always look nice and bright. The limescale in the water that comes out of the taps can not only cause unsightly stains, but also pose a problem for the lifespan of the taps and sanitaryware. One of the most susceptible areas in the room to limescale is the shower cubicle, which is why special care and attention must be paid to this area. Today we would like to give you four valuable tips for cleaning and disinfecting the shower cubicle quickly and easily.
A valuable anti-limescale mixture
Often the most effective remedies come straight from the past: the experience and wisdom of our ancestors contains pearls of wisdom that are now universally recognised as grandmother's remedies. As for cleaning the shower, our grandmothers' advice was a valuable mixture that you can make at home with the products that everyone has in the pantry. Prepare an emulsion of white vinegar, baking soda and lemon juice, which you then apply to the surfaces with a non-abrasive sponge. Leave the solution on for a few minutes and rinse well to restore the shine of the shower tray, panelling and tiles. Alternatively, you can use a solution of two parts white vinegar and one-part lukewarm water in a sprayer, which you then spray on the walls of the cubicle and on the cladding tiles. If you rub the solution with a soft cloth, you do not need to rinse it off and you will immediately get a shiny appearance.
Shimmering glass in the shower cubicle with ammonia
Scented ammonia is a valuable tool for keeping shower cubicle glass shiny. It can be used as a natural product or diluted in hot water, which enhances its effect. Important! Rinse the glass thoroughly after use to avoid the formation of a yellowish patina on the surfaces.
Removing mould in the shower cubicle
Vapours and condensation can form mould inside the shower cubicle. Black stains are not only unsightly, but also pose a real health risk due to the dangerous spores they release. Good ventilation of the bathroom is therefore essential to ensure a healthy and beneficial environment at all times. However, if you notice these stains, you must remove them immediately with fine salt, hydrogen peroxide and sparkling water. Add three tablespoons of each ingredient to one litre of water and apply the resulting mixture to the mould-infested surface. Leave the mixture to work and then rinse it off.
Dry the shower cubicle after each use
By ventilating the room after each family member has showered and carefully drying the glass panels, you prevent the formation of mould and limescale, making daily cleaning work much easier. If necessary, ask family members for help: with a few simple steps, each of them can ensure that you always have a bright shower cubicle without any effort.
