What is a rimless toilet?
The rim is the inner edge of the toilet bowl under which the water, coming from the toilet cistern, flows every time we flush the toilet.
This gap requires constant cleaning since the recurring flow of water inevitably leaves limescale deposits in the toilet bowl.
The lower part of this edge is unglazed, and this is certainly not good for hygiene and sanitation. Moreover, a little water always remains in the rim after each rinse favouring the proliferation of germs and bacteria simply because it is stagnant.
Most modern toilets no longer have this rim but rather a rounded edge which is much simpler and easier to clean.
Functioning is safe and effective because the flushing water covers the entire toilet bowl without causing unpleasant splashes.
The elegant shape, combined with the charm of always having perfectly white and sanitized bathroom fixtures, make the rimless toilets increasingly sought-after products for any modern and functional bath design.
On the market it is also possible to find different types of toilets, ranging from suspended to back-to-wall ones which prove to be excellent space-saving furnishing solutions even in small bathrooms.
Suspended or back-to-wall rimless toilets?
When we talk about rimless toilets, whether they are suspended or designed for a flush-to-wall installation, we refer to sanitary ware capable of giving the bathroom a truly exclusive style.
In general, suspended fixtures are recommended for a modern style bathroom, whilst those flush to the wall are advisable in a more classic style bathroom or even in quite small rooms.
Fixed tightly to the surface of a wall, with pipes and drains hidden inside, they are not only good for a classy bath decor but also compact enough to save precious inches on the floor.
This feature proves to be of fundamental importance when you have a small bathroom to furnish with modern style sanitary ware of a unique design: with the rimless toilet you could get the same exclusive design of bathrooms shown on the cover of the best magazines of furniture design even in small environments.
The elegance given to the environment by these rimless toilets is even greater if you think about the easy cleaning and sanitation. You will always have a well-organised and tidy bathroom.
Advantages of the Norim toilet
If we had to list the advantages of the Norim toilet we would certainly put ease of cleaning first. It is not so difficult to imagine how much easier the sanitation of these toilets is thanks to their perfectly rounded edge, which prevents water from stagnating.
Furthermore, the water flush is uniformly distributed in the WC bowl and able to reach every point of the toilet (in the standard toilets instead, more than 20% of the internal surface is not properly rinsed by water).
Another advantage of the rimless toilet is a noiseless flush. The sound produced is nearly 80% less than most common toilets.
