Retro: bathroom fixtures with an antique charm

The antique charm of vintage designer objects inspired the designers Alfredo Anzellini and Massimiliano Cicconi who had flair and creativity in developing the Retro collection.

Their goal was to embellish the classic style bathroom and make it suitable for private and public construction. Sanitary ware that captures the attention for their delicate refinement, washbasins that perfectly mix elegance and functionality, bathtubs and shower trays that allow you to find a perfect relaxing area in a bathroom of any size, are fixtures that become really hard to resist.
Each item of the whole Retro collection is designed to offer maximum versatility whilst the best ceramics, carefully selected and worked with the utmost attention to the smallest detail, ensure strength and convenience. A bathroom with Retro sanitary ware displays all its elegance through traditional geometric shapes which however never become outdated. The delicately soft shapes are reminiscences of an old charm, and then completed with avant-garde technics to create a bath decoration that evokes the most precious Belle Époque style. A mix of antique charm and modern techniques can also be found in the vintage style suspended sanitary ware. In this case oval and standard shapes combine with a decidedly more contemporary bath design such as back-to-wall or close-coupled toilets, and S or P trap toilets with high- or low-level cisterns.
The Retro line also includes wall lamps, shelves, towel racks, roll holders, toilet brush holders, soap holders and robe hooks, that is, a complete set of accessories that can add a touch of exclusive style in private bathrooms and public toilets of hotels, coffee shops and restaurants.

The Retro washbasin for a versatile bath design

One of the main characteristics of fine furniture should be the perfect adaptability to environments of any size, and the Retro collection was produced with the aim of giving functionality and elegance to small but also to large bathrooms. That is why Kerasan offers a wide range of washbasins which can be suspended or placed on vanity units with metal legs, or even freestanding washbasins, inset washbasins and those prepared for being recessed in chromed brass frameworks. This wide range of washbasins can satisfy the most varied requirements because of the high adaptability and compactness in bathrooms of any size.

Shower tray or bathtub in the vintage style bathroom

The vintage-style bathroom can house both a bathtub and a shower. Therefore, the choice between the first or the second depends exclusively on the personal taste of each person and obviously on the space available. The vintage-style shower trays have non-slip standing areas thanks to embossed patterns that ensure maximum safety for all users. The shape recalls the design of old shower trays, especially for the exceedingly high perimeter edge (20 cm). Finally, as regards the dimensions, the shower tray is the best solution for small, medium and large bathrooms, thanks to great variety of shapes (square, rectangular, quadrant or corner shapes) which is very important in case of space issues.
The vintage-style bathtub of the Retro collection is made of acrylic and has a decidedly exclusive design, because of the feet and the outline that re-designs the ancient clawfoot tubs of the twentieth century. Here you can also find the perfect mix between tradition and innovation, especially in terms of vintage and elegant design that takes shape from one of the most innovative materials used to produce bathtubs. Acrylic bathtubs stand out for their high grade of hygiene and their minimum need of maintenance.

Different methods of installation are also possible: from freestanding bathtubs to old-fashioned ones that recently have become the star attraction of the bathroom because they re-create Victorian atmospheres and sumptuous styles.
