One of the biggest 'problems' that can occur in this environment is mould in the shower cubicle. But how can you get rid of it? Below are some tips on how to create a healthy environment using natural products.
Why mould forms in the shower cubicle
Have you noticed traces of mould forming around the edges of your shower tray? This is due to the stagnation of water after showering. Once mould becomes visible, it quickly spreads to all the joints of the shower enclosure. Simply wiping it off with a sponge will not remove it and can damage the coating. To prevent the formation of mould, it is necessary to wipe off any remaining water with a cloth, as this prevents the formation of water and soap residues from which mycelia form.
Eliminating mould in the shower cubicle
To remove mould stains from the shower cubicle and make it shine again, simply use sodium bicarbonate. After removing the most obvious mould residues with a cloth, simply prepare a mixture of water and sodium bicarbonate that has the consistency of a cream. This mixture is cleansing, degreasing, and also perfuming, so we can use it safely as it does not have strong abrasive power.
Gently apply the mixture of water and bicarbonate to the areas where the mould has formed and leave it on for at least an hour. Before removing it, please check if the mould has dissolved, and if not, apply some more. Mould, especially mould that has not recently formed, is difficult to remove, so you can reinforce the mixture with white vinegar or work directly with the vinegar on the mould stain by soaking a sponge.
Rinse well with warm water and dry thoroughly.
